I heard this on a dalla-dalla between Makuyuni and Babati and it really stuck with me… the driver had a 30 minute long remix… and then our Airbnb local host in Babati showed me how to use Spotify to identify the snippet I had recorded on my phone. Amazing! The style is apparently called amapiano. Here it is explained by, of all entities, Red Bull… The maracas remind me of Steve Reich Four Organs. Nothing to do with reading, and the lyrics are cool (as translated in various sites) but not exactly literary.
