IT class in Sumbrungu community library during the night session: Nurturing Digital Literacy and Technical Skills

From Clement, library coordinator for FAVL partner CESRUD:

The IT class provides students with a comprehensive understanding of Information Technology, equipping them with essential digital literacy and technical skills to thrive in the modern world. The topics we discussed on the first day were: 1. Basic Computer Skills: Introduction to computer hardware, software, and operating systems; 2. Productivity Software: Utilizing word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software for various tasks. During the IT class session, students or patrons actively participated very well, I utilized a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, demonstrations, and interactive tutorials, to cater to diverse learning styles.Students were engaged in collaborative activities such as showing how to place your hands when typing, how to boot a computer and how to use a computer mouse. Conclusion:

By providing a comprehensive understanding of Information Technology and practical experience with relevant tools and software, the class equips students with the necessary skills to succeed in an increasingly digital world. Continued investment in IT education is essential for empowering individuals and fostering innovation and productivity in society.
