News from ABVBF, FAVL partner organisation in #Burkina

From Sanou Dounko: Tuesday July 19, 2023 night we had a lot of rain, so Wednesday morning we arrived to find that water had penetrated into all parts of the office. The bottoms of some CMH book boxes that we planned for the libraries and some copies were wet. We took them out and put them in the sun. Apart from these a few wet books, no further damage. Salimata took a large part of the day to clean the office. I then got a call from Alidou informing me that the accountant of the commune of Houndé would like me to come to Houndé in order to manage the question of the transfer of the compensation funds of the librarians of Karaba and Dohoun for the period from September 2022 to December 2023. So I went to Houndé. I arrived after 4 p.m. The next morning, Alidou and I were able to meet accountant. He explained to us the documents of justifications to provide. Then I went to the perception to do the withdrawal of the check for 1,200,000 francs CFA. I asked Hakahoun and Sibiri who came. I paid them the motivations of de September 2022 to July 2023. Today, I paid the 400,000 francs remaining in FAVL’s account. Every month I will send the monthly motivations. The two librarians want me to declare them to the CNSS and every month, I deduct the necessary dues.  I received Konkourona’s check for the past season. I did the withdrawal and also make the deposit into the FAVL account. See the two payment receipts attached. Also, in collaboration with staff here in Ouaga and we decided to take our two weeks off from August 14 to 28, 2023. We will resume service on August 29, 2023.
