Rotary-funded multi-media center continues (slowly) to develop booklets for reading in Burkina Faso

The Houndé multimedia center has had staffing problems, as a succession of managers have been lured away to other activities. But recently activity picked up again, and 20 new titles in the Kikirou series were produced. Local illustrators worked on the illustrations, and FAVL staff members Sieni Dieudonné and Alidou Boué wrote the texts.  More recently, a re-telling of the Greek myth of Penelope (Odysseus’ wife who patiently waits for him) was illustrated and is being printed.  Early February the center received a short visit from Ouagadougou Rotarians from the club Rotary Ouaga Savane. They encouraged the local FAVL staff to continue to develop the center.
